The rice planing, harvesting and hulling invovled the whole family, and the entire village. Everyone pitched in.  It was that, or not eat for a year!

Although some Montagnard tribes were Christian, or other religion, the Hre were primarily animists--they worshipped various spirits, praying and making offerings.

LIving conditions centered around the family, their house, their work in the fields and their burial sites for friends and family members.
